Here I am more recently, next to a photo of me and my twin who is the artist who inspired me to pursue art.

A Little About Me

I studied illustration at a small commercial art school called Butera School of Art, in Boston back in the early "80s.

Since that time I've had an exciting life, getting married, moving to Virginia, and then all the way to Bolivia, South America, where I learned Spanish and lived for 5 years. I've stored many memories and images that I draw from in my writing and illustration.

I now live in Northern Virginia, not far from Washington D.C.. with my husband and our three children.

I am a member of the Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators as well as the D.C. Illustrators Club.

My faith in God plays a vital part in my art and perspective as an artist, and I especially enjoy incorporating my love for God in my art and planning the images I create. I desire to create quality illustrations for books and publications that are uplifting and inspiring for children and adults.
